John Kerry Defends Gift of Four F-16 Fighter Jets to Egypt

John Kerry, during his confirmation to take Hillary Clinton’s role as Secretary of State, defended the Obama White House for its gift of four F-16 jets to Egypt, despite President Mohammad Morsi’s asinine remarks where he referred to Israeli citizens as “descendants of apes and pigs.”

Kerry told Sen. Rand Paul the “foreign aid” gift was blueprinted in 2010 when Mubarak still held the Egyptian reigns. So, I guess, reneging is out of the question. Not sure why.

“The fact that sometimes other countries elect someone you don’t agree with doesn’t give us permission to walk away,” Kerry said.

Of course, he then said Morsi’s comments were “reprehensible” and “unacceptable by anyone’s standard.” I guess words speak louder than actions. Then again, Kerry doesn’t give three craps about Israel. But if someone says something bad about Egypt, Libya, or Iran — or, say, make a YouTube video that degrades the Muslim faith — someone’s head must be lopped off.

Still, Kerry says we have a “critical interest” in Egypt, hence, the four F-16 fighter jets we just have to fork over to the Egyptian regime.

“Not everything lends itself to a simple classification, black or white,” Kerry affirmed. “We have critical interests with Egypt, critical interests. Egypt has thus far supported, lived by peace agreements with Israel and has taken steps to deal with the problem of security in the Sinai. Those are vital to us, our security interests and the security interests of Israel.”

Yeah, and Obama wants him as Secretary of State. Something tells me, after a year or two of Kerry’s nonsense, we’ll be praying for Hillary’s return.
