911 Police Audio, Georgia Woman Shoots Intruder Five Times

I suppose this falls in line with the gun control debate — that is, newly-released audio revealing a 911 call made during a Georgia home invasion, where a worried husband coached his wife on shooting an intruder.

The mother was alone with her two children when the man broke into the house with a crowbar. Melinda Herman shot the intruder five times with a .38 caliber revolver, after he blocked her and her children in an attic crawlspace.

Here is a partial transcript of the call:

Golly, if it wasn’t for those evil firearms, that poor, innocent intruder would still be alive. Come on you grubby little gun-huggers, all he wanted was a few shiny little diamonds.
