The shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut has left, so far, 27 people killed, including 18 children — many of whom are probably kindergartners. The death count includes 20-year-old Ryan Lanza, who authorities say killed himself after performing the killing spree.
Lanza’s mother reportedly worked at the school, and she was just found dead at her house, indicating that Lanza killed her before venturing to Sandy Hook Elementary.
Update: A second “suspect” was being questioned about the shooting, but it is unclear whether he or she was involved.
This is sickening. To think about these children, as well as the parents who now have to live with these consequences. I’m not sure how you move on.
Sheer terror is how a father of a child from the school described it. And that’s probably the best description.
