Yeah, there is some serious funny business going on in Philadelphia: operators bannering a “Hope” and “Change” Obama mural up on the wall, GOP officials being ousted, and the Black Panther party intimidating voters — again.
Did they not know this is illegal, or are they deliberately violating state law?
“It is an absolute disgrace,” asserted Shannon Royer, deputy secretary for external affairs in Pennsylvania. “Election materials and electioneering inside the polling place are prohibited by state law. This can be interpreted as trying to influence voters inside the polling place. I am told discussions are going on now about covering the mural.”
Here’s what Pennsylvania state law states: “no person within a polling place may electioneer or solicit votes for any political party, political body, or candidate, nor may any unauthorized written or printed materials be posted within the polling place.”
Moreover, thanks to Eric Holder’s deliberate failure to prosecute the New Black Panther party for their intimidating shenanigans in 2008, they’re at it again in Pennsylvania.
Something tells me if a group of KKK members hovered outside voting booths with batons, Mr. Holder would have sung a different tune.
