In response to a question about why Obama has not met with his economic Jobs Council in six months, Jay Carney said it’s because the President has been too busy.
You couldn’t get much worse of a response. Obama’s Jobs Council, I think it can be presumed, was created to generate, umm, jobs. So putting two and two together, I suppose Carney’s response indicates that the President is too busy to discuss how to ignite job growth.
To be fair, though, the Jobs Council is a sham in the first place. Obama could care less what the private sector thinks.
I think the entire purpose of the council’s conception was to propagate to the American people that he is going to “work in conjunction with the private sector to get people working again.”
