That’s pretty much the story for now. Mohammed Morsi, anĀ Islamist with the Muslim Brotherhood, has won Egypt’s first free elections. It was a very narrow margin, with Morsi beating his contender Ahmed Shafiq — the previous prime minister under Hosni Mubarak — 51.7 percent to 48.3 percent.
Not sure who in their right mind would vote that kind of despotic power into political office.
