Evidently, in 1996 Obama headlined a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) town hall meeting in Chicago. The flyer below, which was published in a 1996 edition of the Hyde Park Herald, featured Obama on a panel that was sponsored by the DSA, University of Chicago Democrats, and University of Chicago DSA.
Must we still parse our words when describing Obama’s overwhelmingly socialist political nature?
Pretty damning. Although, Obama’s socialist involvement back then was fairly prevalent — not to mention he was a staunch black liberation theologian.
