Richard Grenell, Mitt Romney’s openly gay foreign-policy spokesman, resigned today, suggesting that his personal life has become a distraction to the campaign.
Soooo, what does the Obama campaign have to say about it? Umm, duh. Grenell resigned because he discovered Mitt Romney’s covert plan to launch a gay-genocide crusade — which will be launched day one of his presidency. Or something like that.
“Today we learned that in the year 2012, a Republican nominee for President can’t have a gay person as spokesman,” wrote Teddy Goff, the President’s digital director in a Tweet. “This is the kind of bigoted, anti-gay extremists a Romney administration would find itself held hostage to,” an Obama super PAC founder piped in.
Typical Team Obama response. Republicans hate gays, they hate women, and they hate black people — in effect, they’re the party of white supremacism.
