It’s an odd way to introduce a new campaign slogan, especially when that new campaign slogan is “forward,” which is just as, if not more, obscure than Obama’s “hope” and “change” mantras from 2008.
In introducing the new “forward” campaign slogan, Team Obama released a 7-minute video — which, ironically, focuses more on looking backward, rather than, well, looking forward. Instead of telling the American electorate what he plans to do, he’s telling them what Republicans and so-called Tea Party extremists did to defame his Marxist agenda.
And, of course, there’s no way in hell he’s going to let us forget: “The Obama administration inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression.”
This is what Obama did, this is what he tried to do, and this is what Republicans prevented him from doing. Oh, and he killed Osama bin Laden with his bare hands.
In summary, the new Team Obama motto is: “In order to look forward we must dwell on the past. Vote for Obama because it’s Bush’s fault!”
