Allahpundit’s nailed it, Obama’s fundraising endeavors portray the old-age cliche: “beggars can’t be choosers.” Of course, he’s referring to Obama’s unyielding embrace of Jon Corzine’s pocketbook. The economy still sucks, and the hopey-dopey change era is pretty much ancient history.
There’s no primary to ignite his voter base, and the economy is flailing its so-called “rebound.” His regulatory skirmishes with Wall Street and other sectors is also quite damaging.
When you run an entire campaign on a platform that hawks some obscure notion of “change,” and when you don’t deliver on even an ounce of economic change — that is, positive change — you’re pretty much doomed.
