Suspect Alton Hayes III, who allegedly jumped and mugged a white man said, essentially, that the Trayvon Martin case inspired his purported hate crime.
Gee, he admits it. Not that he needed to, considering he called the poor guy a “white boy,” right before he mugged him. I suppose this case was a little more obscure than others, as he refrained from invoking the name “Trayvon” before beating the man to a pulp. But still, it’s quite predictable.
These instances are all thanks to the mainstream media, which sensationalized this racially-charged Zimmerman-Martin nonsense.
