Anyone who thinks Debbie Wasserman Schultz is not partaking in heavy drugs, is probably partaking in heavy drugs — in my humble opinion.
Indeed, the inane and outspoken DNC Chairwoman seems to think the Republican presidential contenders will do nothing to ease the pain at the gas pump. Now granted, all the candidates have their flaws, and they all seemingly differ on certain key issues. But taming the consistent surge in gas prices, I think, is a top priority for all the candidates.
And here’s the good part:
“The Republican field… thinks that we just need to remain tethered and dependent on foreign oil because all they would do is more and more drilling, which is a very shortsighted approach and it would do nothing to prevent people who are struggling to put $80 into their gas tanks to be able to make sure that that’s more affordable,” Schultz said..
Sooo, increasing the domestic supply of oil will not abate oil prices? Seriously? If my fifth-grade class would have covered the fundamentals of economics, that basic principle would have been in the curriculum.
